Through the "Creation．Art．X．MADS" Cross-Disciplinary demonstration, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University showcases its commitment to break the boundaries of a traditional technical university. The goal is to promote humanistic education across disciplines, connecting humanities with engineering, technology, and medicine. This approach encourages students to apply what they learn in humanities to their major fields, fostering STEM professionals with a broader humanistic perspective.
2021年陽明交大合校後，三個學程逐漸穩定，透過「創．藝百匯 X．MADS」創作類跨域成果展，陽明交大展現突破理工大學框架、積極推動跨領域人文教育的企圖心，讓人文社會素養不再只侷限於人文學院中，而是扮演與理工、醫學的橋樑，甚至更進一步將所學整合、應用到主修領域，培養出具有人文觀點的理工人才。
Visual Concept
The idea of a "stew" symbolizes a rich mixture of diverse ingredients that blend together to create greater harmony. That vibe totally matches the "創‧藝百匯" (Creative Buffet) concept.
Takeaways
X - Mads was the first time the University organized a multi-program-wide exhibition.
As a member of the Storytelling and Multimedia program, I contributed by designing and revising the collaborative visuals, creating a visually successful exhibition. Additionally, I was in charge of setting up all the venue content before the event.
In the days prior to the event, I put a lot of effort into managing the on-floor situations, like the layout and visual presentation of the works. The exhibition was a great success for the University, fostering many positive responses.
